What data we process and where it comes from

This website has no user accounts and no form that sends your data to our servers.

The personalised-piece form prepares a message in your own browser and opens WhatsApp or Instagram (@matana.design) with it. We only receive your details (name, contact method, idea, occasion, dates) if you choose to send it to us. If you message us on WhatsApp, we also receive your phone number.

The pieces you add to your enquiry are stored only in your browser (local storage) and do not reach us until you send us the order.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider records technical connection data (such as IP address and browser) to serve and protect the site.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • To answer your enquiries and manage your orders: pre-contractual steps and performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
  • To keep the website secure and working: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).

How long we keep it

We keep data from your enquiries and orders for as long as the relationship lasts and, afterwards, for the periods required by tax and commercial law. Analytics data, if any, is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. The following providers are involved:

  • Netlify, Inc. (web hosting), as data processor. As a US company, international transfers rely on the safeguards offered by the provider (EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
  • WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., when you message us on WhatsApp. WhatsApp processes that data as a controller under its own privacy policy.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Instagram), when you message us on Instagram. Meta processes that data as a controller under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent, by writing to us via WhatsApp or Instagram (@matana.design). If you believe your request has not been handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or the law. The date of the last update appears at the end of this page.
